Looking for a Guide?

Whether you are looking for support for yourself personally, direction in your parenting or guidance for your teenager, my secret sauce is my natural ability to connect with and understand people.

Navigating Life

Unfortunately life does not come with a GPS system telling us which way to go which can make it very difficult to navigate our way through.  When faced with challenging roads, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to plug into someone else to help guide us through?  Of course there is therapy which definitely has its place and helped me get through my toughest times, but we don’t always need something to that level, so we end up talking to friends or family members which can be comforting but often has its limitations on objective, impartial insight.  And if you’re anything like me, may come at you a bit laced in judgement.  So where do you find such a person that falls in the mid ground of the two?

Finding Support

How about through a guide who understands?  Someone who has most likely experienced what you are going through or something similar on a personal level, who is knowledgeable and educated to offer tangible resources not just opinionated advice, who cuts to the chase without spending months of your time prodding you to come to your own conclusions,  who is professional yet comforting and gives you practical solutions to everyday problems without trying to change who you are all free of judgement and doesn’t break the bank.

I can finally admit that I am that person!  It took me many years to feel comfortable talking about my positive attributes and is partly why I’m so motivated to help others feel comfortable with who they are.  I discussed in a previous video and in further detail in a blog post about how I lived for many years, actually decades, giving my power away to others because I felt anything but empowered about who I am authentically.

But thanks to several big changes in my life along with learning to live in my own personal Strengths which helped me to strengthen my emotional intelligence level, I have come to embrace the gifts that only I possess and can bring to the world in this exact manner.  Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely still struggle but now am able to  not only catch myself when I start to go backwards but remind myself that life is about growing.  We are not supposed to have it all figured out ourselves, so ease the pressure of thinking you should have all the answers, learn and lean into how you do things best and call upon a trusted mentor for supportive guidance when needed along the way.
